Sorry for so long between posts. We just sent off the first chunk of animation, and I’m finishing up the next FIAS storyboard. Also trying to set up recording time with the Sound studio and the voice actors.
I’m thinking for the upcoming release date of my book to host a live Q & A. Someone had posted something a while a go about someone else who had done that on a particular site. Maybe you all can feed me your ideas on this event. Or I could do it here.
What are your thoughts?

Well, I think that when you do the live Q & A, you can post some videos of the event onto this here website.

Hello,
I think blogtv.com would be the best bet. Viewers can type in questions while the Q&A is in session and you can answer them via webcam to all the viewers. Another option is justin.tv but i think blogtv.com is better for what you are doing.
HOpe that helps!

There’s a plethora of sites who do live casts. I’ve heard blip.tv is good. I think it’s a great idea, but you’d have to have someone help you set it up (there’s bound to be problems.) As much as I love the idea, it might make more sense just to film an event in LA or wherever.

Blip.tv or Ustream, or maybe even possibly Justin.tv would be good for broadcasting. Don’t use Blog.tv as it is horrible and is full of internet trolls.
Can’t wait for Frog in a Suit and your book!

I haven’t had much bad luck with Ustream myself, although if you don’t have fairly new equipment or a fast internet connection it’s likely to freeze. Just avoid blog tv, it’s filled with trolls and spammers.

If you do decide on a live Q&A… tons of people are going to ask Rocko questions. If you don’t mind filtering through peoples’ questions to find non-Rocko ones, it sounds like a great idea!

I just think…you are really cool. Without you my childhood would have been boring. Just thought you should know.

Joe,
I’ve used livestream to host before. It lets you download a podcaster that’s pretty intuitive and easy to set up. You may want to pick a moderator or two to control the chat room, and everything should be smooth.
I’d recommend, though, perhaps working through another animation site for the Q and A is ideal, as you can probably garner more interest that way. Perhaps one of the sites that you interviewed for before?
Just my two cents.

There’s also Stickam.com….but yeah, there are a ton of sites that can do this sort of thing.

More than a video of the chat, it would be a lot more useful to save a recap of the Q&A Session and to post it here on your blog, of course it may not be the whole session but the most important questions.
