I’m a little bleary eyed cuz I just finished some intense post production on my very short “Frog in a Suit” pilot. It’s really more of a “snippet” into the show. More of a short film. I’m nervous about it. I’ve never liked any of the pilots I’ve done for my shows. It’s so hard the first time you try and find your bearings with new characters and a new look . I’m very hard on myself. I’ve been living with this thing on and off for a few months while I worked on the book and such. Maybe I’m too close to it. But I can also see beyond what this short shows. There are many characters in the show that are not introduced in this short.
While I’m getting the details nailed down for the new site, I may post this short on You Tube ( and here of course), and get a feel for how it will be received as a show. It’s hard to capture everything the show will be able to do and the places it will go in three and a half minutes. Maybe I’m just tired. I don’t know.
What day is it? Thursday? Yikes. Okay.
Got together with Fred Seibert today. Had an enjoyable visit. Good talk.
I think something new from the archive collection going up tomorrow. If I can get to it. Trying to get to a character video blog on the Big Heads. Maybe this weekend.

I look forward to seeing the short pilot if you decide to post it! I’m sure many of us would. Anyway, again just wanted to say thanks for sharing all of this stuff with us, you don’t have to do it. It’s much appreciated.

Omg the wait is killing me. But it is worth it and I can’t wait.
I can understand what your coming from introducing new characters. I mostly draw comics for fun and to show to my co workers ( Im a file clark for a company and this job is so boring ) and i came up with some new characters for a strip and startin out fresh is hard for me because i want the reader keep attention to my characters personality and the story….. But that is just me. idk.
Also can’t wait for the Big Heads video blog!

Cool. Can’t wait to see it.
You’re being too hard on yourself re: the pilots (the Rocko pilot, at least). I think it’s one of the best episodes, mainly because the animation style is different than in other episodes.
I’m curious to see the original version, though, where Rocko is colored yellow.

Three and a half minute pilot is rough. So much to say, not a lot of time to do it in. But that will probly add to the overall feel of it.
Seibert has been beaming about Adventure Time over at his blog, and the stuff they are dong with Tartakovsky. This next year will be awesome for animation; both by small time folks and big fishheads too (Ah, see what I did there?).
Looking forward to your next archive collection update.

I loved all your Pilots. My faavorite is Trash-O-Madness. I love the part where Rocko gets pnched one to many times by Earl the tough dog, and punches him. my favorite quote was
“heh, heh, good as new, eh?”
