“Perseverance is a great element of success. If you only knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
“If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people.” - Chinese proverb
These two quotes really speak to me at this time of my life. I can be a real stubborn SOB when it’s something I’m passionate about. I don’t like to take no for an answer. Keep pushing and trudging.
Found this painting in my character painting collection that I really liked. I’m offering it for sale if you would like it for your collection. 10% from the sale goes to Children’s International, and, as with all of my companies pre-tax gross earnings, 1% goes to the planet. Check it out on ebay.
Reading through the edits on my book today. Look forward to this hitting the shelves. Should be about the same time the Web site makes its full debut.

oh by the way- whilst it’s probably a good thing to be open to other’s opinions and all that- i think determination and stubborness, and also confidence is something that all great creators seem to have in common- i think it’s probably what seperates people who make really, really ground breaking tihngs, and people who give up and go for the easier option.

What did you say earlier about the Rocko Flip book?

I don’t know why.. But I always smile while reading this blog..
And I love to translate the quotes because they are always helpful..
Perseverance is something wonderful.. I feel I can conquer the world when I feel the flames of passion for doing something..
Human + Perseverance + Perseverance +Perseverance = Success!
I’ve always been lucky to have a family who support that idea.. To think at my age that you can realize your deepest dreams with just because put effort in them is a privilege.. Since there are a lot of people who’s very pesimistic and give up easily.. I’d hate being that way.. I never will like giving up.. I’ll just keep ¨pushing and trudging¨ (as you said) until I’m done..
Thank you so much for this post
I really liked it!
