New Year, New Projects

My new project for PBS is going extremely well. Almost too well. I think I love it more than any other show I have worked on. It says something that needs to be said at this time in our evolution. Not to place too much importance on an animated show, but if I’m going to share my talents as well as those of my colleagues in this form, I’m glad it’s a positive contribution.

There is also another project in discussion that is too early to disclose. It’s crazy and ludicrous. A “not right in the head” project.

I’m often amazed at the twists and turns of ones life, how much it differs from the one we plan, and yet so much richer. We often don’t aim high enough. I need to write more often on this thing. Too busy having fun I suppose.

    Hey Joe,

I’ve been a big fan of work since i was little and Camp Lazlo remains my favorite show to this day. What’s your new project called? I’m probably too old to watch it but I’d still like to check it out.

Hey Joe, just wanted to let you know your show Rocco’s Modern Life had gotten me through some really hard times when I was a kid and I still pull out the DVDS all the time to watch it and smile. Thank you for creating such a great cartoon with so many hidden adult jokes (I find new things all the time as an adult) timeless stuff. I’d love to go to one of your classes or a book signing if your ever in Chicago. Hope all is well and congrats on the new project!!!!

I’ve read this blog since middle school and continue as I now study animation in college. Glad to see things are going well! I missed seeing posts for a while but I knew it meant you were busy with your project which was good. I always get inspired reading these!
