riverdance

Doing Riverdance with a Peg Leg

I love the education opportunities that come with animating an independent film. Will it ever apply anywhere else? Doesn’t matter. I have a scene in Fish Head where there is a line up of toothless fishermen ( and a woman) riverdancing. So, find reference, study the moves. Each body shape has a different application to the dance. The weight. The leg length. Now throw in the fact that 3 of the fisherman have fake wooden legs.

Nothing comes up on you tube of riverdancing with a peg leg. Hmmmm,,,,

Try it. Throw it away. Try it again.  Does it bend at all?

Time for dinner…. Try it again… time for breakfast….

I think I got it. I’ll get some rest and look at it again and see if I like it.

Keep your fingers crossed.

I’m sure it will look great.

That is exactly the best movie making problem ever. I love what you do.

That’s an awesome problem to have! I would think the peg would bend some when they jump on it like a tree branch bowing or something. HAHA what if one breaks at the end? LOL Can’t wait to see your animation! It seems to be coming along nicely!
