New Live Classes for the Summer

McGroarty Art Center, Tujunga California

I thought, what could be better this summer than teaching an animation fundamentals class  on a warm evening in a beautiful old house tucked in the hills?

I approached the McGroarty Art Center in Tujunga, ( Just 10 minutes from Glendale, 20 minutes from Burbank) about doing a live class for two hours a week during the summer and we worked it out. It will be separate from their excellent art curriculum ( check them out, they have some great classes http://www.mcgroartyartscenter.org/ ).

Six Wednesday nights from June 26 to July 31 2013. But don’t come to learn computer animation. This is the fundamentals of movement, character, action, gags and layout. We will complete a very short simple film on paper to give you the basics. I may continue the class into the fall. We will see how it goes.

It’s a limited class size, so if you are interested sign up at www.joemurraymasterclass.com or www.artistmentor.org.

Will this be an actual animation class like you would take in school? As in, I bring a character and you help me make him move? I’m very interested!

  2. This is such a great idea and McGroarty is the perfect setting….such an amazingly beautiful place. Well done!
