Joe Murray is an artist, animator, writer and filmmaker. He is perhaps
best known for his animated creations Rocko's Modern Life, which aired on Nickelodeon, and Camp Lazlo
which aired on Cartoon Network. He also shares his art methodology through books, lectures
and teaching.

Well put. Yes, the negative criticisms (although often true) have stopped me too often. Thankfully I get more shameless with each passing year. I have more to show in my portfolio and resume because of it now. It’s a tough hurdle to get past.
